Hooptime Report and Assembly Presentation

Last Monday Tom, Liam and Ryan presented a report at assembly.

Hi my name is Tom and I am Liam and we’re here to talk to you about the Hooptime Competition. We all played well on the day but sadly there could only be 2 teams in the grand final from Berwick Lodge Primary School. Future Stars 1 and Future Stars Four4 played a great game because future stars 1 only won by 1 point. Thanks  to all of the teachers and parents for coming on the day thank you for listening to our report.

Should students have Facebook accounts?

Should students be able to have Facebook accounts?

Facebook is a website to communicate. You can watch videos and join groups. You can make new friends and communicate with old friends you can watch videos , advertisements and you can download games and like things. And finally you could communicate with family, you could plan an outing and use it everywhere.

On the other hand Facebook has some disadvantages

People can find lots about you and personal information. People can locate and trace you. You can get hurtful and hateful messages and disturbing videos. You also could get cyber bullied. You could see things you are not supposed to. You could see things that are bad but you don’t know it is bad and go and say it in school or public. You could see people do tricks and do it and hurt yourself.

I think Facebook is bad because it is addictive and harmful it makes you lazy and unsocial and it makes you rude.

Regional Swimming Tournament – by Liam

On Thursday the 27th of March I went to Regional Swimming Competition at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC).  It was the best but I am sort of angry and happy because I swam the 50m freestyle and missed out on first by half a second!!!!!!! I still got a second and still stood on the podium which was great.

Then, my next race came, the 50m fly. I came 4th by a quarter of a mm. It was a good result.

Then I went home  with my dad and mom it was great a day. I know I could of got 1st and 3rd and that is why I will train harder for next years competition.

Divisional Swimming News

IMG_2309Today Liam (the Superfish) represented the school at the Divisional Swimming Competition at Noble Park.
He competed in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly and won both events! This is an amazing effort as the Butterfly stroke is one of he hardest strokes to learn in swimming.

Congratulations, we are so proud of you Liam and will be cheering you on when you compete at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
