Information about this program can be found at the following website.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me or Mrs Smethurst.  Good Luck kids!

Scrambled Eggs with Chives by William

Ingredients

  • 16 free-range eggs.
  • 1/2 cup thickened cream
  • 24 slices day-old wholegrain bread
  • 50g butter, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of chives finely chopped

Method

  • Step 1

Using a whisk, whisk eggs and cream together in a large bowl for 2 minutes. Set aside until foam has settled.

  • Step 2

Meanwhile, preheat grill on high heat. Using a 9cm star cookie cutter, cut out 1 star from each bread slice. Place stars in a single layer on grill tray. Grill for 1 minute each side or until toasted. Keep warm until ready to serve.

  • Step 3

Heat a 28cm (base) non-stick frying pan over medium heat until hot. Add half the butter and swirl to coat pan base. As last of butter melts, add half the egg mixture. Cook for 1 1/2 minutes or until mixture starts to set. Using a spatula, push set egg towards centre of pan, tilting pan to allow uncooked egg to run over base. Cook for 2 minutes or until eggs form creamy curds. Stir in half the chives. Transfer to a plate.

  • Step 4

Wipe pan with paper towel. Repeat with remaining butter, egg mixture and chives. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately with toast.

After the big day of activities we went on the night hike.  After the night hike we got back to the camp site, we roasted marshmallows over the camp fire then watched a movie it was called Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Camp Rock Pools by Phillip

It was a long walk to the rock pools and I saw some small crabs but they were not what we were looking for, they were too small. At the rock pools they were much bigger. When we arrived we had to look for crabs, sea grass and all sorts of cool stuff. I  liked looking for star fish. I  saw some sea grass it looked weird and felt funny. When the tide came in we had to go back. I had a good time in the rock pools.

Camp Waratah Bay

At camp when we went for a night walk we found some crabs and a BIG STARFISH!!!.

But the best thing was the giant swing and all of the other activities.

The activities were free time at the beach, volleyball, rock pools, rock climbing, night hike/camp fire, obstacle, nitro crossing and scavenger hunt!

Camp Waratah Bay!

!Camp Waratah Bay!

On Monday the 2nd of September 2013, grades 3M, 4R and 4Y went to camp at Waratah Bay for an extremely fun camp at the BEACH!

It took 2 hours to get there. Once we got there we put our bags outside and went into the Rec room to sit down and get introduced. Once that finished we collected  our bags and the girls went to the far side of the camp too set up their beds but we got the close side to set our beds up then it was lunch time, then before I knew it… it was dinner time, we had Wombat but it was actually Roast Lamb!

For dessert we had Ice-Cream and Apple Crumble.

For supper we had cake for Zack C’s birthday.

On Tuesday we had our activities which were Nitro Crossing, Initiatives, Giant Swing, Bouldering Wall, Photo Trail, Volleyball, Beach Activities and Possum Ropes and that covered Tuesday except for the Night Hike and “The Movie” which was Alvin and the Chipmunks.

On Wednesday we said “goodbye” to the camp and went home.
